I Bought A Subaru Crosstrek

Not that I’m aware of. But we’re not off-roading it. It’s really about our “anytime” vehicle.

Snow? No problem.
Need to get over the mountains? No problem.
Dirt roads? Not a worry!

It’s been comfortable, reliable, and dependable, and that’s what we needed.

A few updates to Cristopher S. Crosstrek III, Esq. (that’s its full name).

Added a set of King rear overload springs, as well as a RiG’d Supply UltraSwing swing-away tire carrier with table and fuel can holder. Still working out a few things. Also added new BFGoodrich KO3 tires, and a Thule Motion 3 box and wingbar setup.

We also got a Sleep Rides setup so we can sleep in the rig. I wrote about it here: Sleep Ride Solutions Subaru Crosstrek Platform Bed Review | GearJunkie Tested

The RiG’d setup goes into the hitch, which in this case is an Ecohitch from Torklift. This hitch has a removable receiver. Unfortunately, it has a bout 2mm of play. This wouldn’t be an issue if towing, but the UltraSwing tents to move around because of it. I might end up replacing it with a Curt setup.

I’ve always thought Crosstreks were cool. Was really hoping they’d get a turbo & manual.

Yours looks the business. And love that sleeping platform. I hope they make a decent living. Sounds like a most earnest product, ya know?

PS: The rear-mounted spare make the tire look gigantic!

Yeah, the rear tire is a bit of an optical illusion from this angle. Looks like a 33 on the back!
